I just read a great article that provides new inspiration on writing in the life of a UX person – like UX reports:

Think Like An Artist And Write UX Reports Your Clients Will Love

You won’t find any practical examples or templates there – but this article got me thinking and taught me the following:

  • Take a look at other disciplines and learn from it (here: writing is used analogous to painting)
  • Gain new expertise by zooming in and trying to understand the details (here: history of a painting and an artist)
  • Zoom out and try to find basic patterns (here: influences of society, repetitions in paintings)
  • Adapt these patterns to your existing knowledge (here: guidelines for writing)

Looking into other areas, gaining new knowledge and trying to reshape it so it can be adapted to existing knowledge will help us to stay more creative and broaden our mindset.
